Djarrak Football Club has provided two members to the 2018 Rio Tinto Footy Means Business Program held in Melbourne this week that culminates with a game on the spiritual home of Australian Football, the MCG, as a curtain raiser to the Dreamtime at the G game between the Richmond Football Club and Essendon Football Club today. Lee Mununggurr is joined by Senior Coach Hayden Rickard as program participant and mentor/coach respectively.

Mununggurr earned his selection after quality efforts in the 2017/18 NTFL Season. Rickard was quick to acknowledge the Rirratjingu Football Program allowed Mununggurr the opportunity to spend time in front of the AFLNT Selection panel on a regular basis.

He said "The pathway that the Rirratjingu Football Program has provided Lee takes on an extra opportunity with the privilege of being around some quality football IQ amongst the staff this week in Melbourne, and more importantly the off-field education and support that has been provided by AFL Sports Ready amongst a host of providers.

"Rirratjingu Football Program have had a presence at Footy Means Business in all three years of our operations since 2015/16 and we continue to provide junior playing talent to NT Thunder Academy Programs. The real success for us is Lee is now engaged in employment and has recently commenced with AFLNT supporting the local Remote Development Manager. I'm sure this week will expose him to the industry standard and the requirements to deliver football around Yirrkala"

Last years club Footy Means Business representative Dale Dhamarrandji passed on his experience to Lee and gave an expectation on what to expect for the intensive week in Victoria.

Mununggurr has been selected in Team Hill. The side is led by former Western Bulldog and West Coast Eagle Josh Hill. Rickard and Former Richmond and Collingwood goal sneak Andrew Krakouer are assistant coaches. Mununggurr will rotate through halfback and half-forward roles.

The program has had guest visits from Cyril Rioli, Mark 'Choco' Williams and Joe Daniher.

The game starts at 4pm EST.
