Djarrak Football Club will persist with giving as many members of the club the chance to qualify for finals as possible as they look to rebound from last weeks loss. Djarrak FC Coach Steven Raymond has named a healthy list of players to face the much improved Nhulunbuy Baywara Football Club in the late fixture at Hindle Oval on Saturday 8 at 4pm.
Tim Blake makes his first appearance for the season after leg issues and will add some height to the ruck division as well as bring another quality communicator to the side. Joel Ikupu plays his qualification game with a further 4 Groote Eylandt based players available.
Grant Maymuru, Dale Dhamarrandji and Justin Talal are notable omissions that will free up space for those on the cusp of finals eligibility.
Coach Steven Raymond was firm when asked if the side could respond the first loss of the season last week. He said "We know that we didn't perform last week. We have addressed what we believe will be a solution this week, but we see this clash as a danger game. They are a young and agile side with nothing to lose and that makes this a real test for the team".
Groote Eylandt Football League supply 5 players this week with thanks to SOUTH32, ASAC, GEBIE and AFLNT.
