Djarrak Football Club have released its Round 2 line-up that includes an extended bench that will be confirmed prior to game start where they take on Nhulunbuy Saints Football Club at Hindle Oval, in Nhulunbuy tomorrow Saturday 29 April from 4pm. Excitement machine Paul Kyle moves from the Interchange to the starting line-up in a fast-tracked move from Rugby League to AFL. Defensive Coach Cam Stokes has been impressed with Kyle's aggressive style and smart option taking to warrant the selection. He will join fellow convert Rhys Mulholland who has added a presence to the backline since crossing over from Rugby Union.
Dale Dhamarrandji (Ankle) and Tim Blake (Hamstring) have not been named, however Dhamarrandji will be afforded till match start to make a decision on his fitness. Inclusions from Round 1 winning side include Arnold Marika who returns to Djarrak after a season on the sidelines and will be rotated through the wing, Che Mc'Gorn as a small defender and Brendan 'Mathiwuy' Marika (Dhamarrandji) after cracking Premier League for Darwin Buffaloes in the NTFL and currently playing in Elcho Island.
Senior Coach Hayden Rickard was wary of the task his side faces this week. He said "Saints are going to be well prepared as history tells us. They gave our side some heavy examinations early in last years Gove AFL season before we found our feet and I don't expect tomorrow to be any different. We know we won't have the body size the town team will have, but we go into this week with a fairly settled line-up and I'll be expecting our mid-field to really grow an extra leg this week".
Players are reminded that transport departs Yirrkala Store at 2pm.
