Djarrak Football Club will face competition favourites Gopu Football Club in the 4pm encounter at Yirrkala Football Ground tomorrow afternoon in what will be a busy day for Yirrkala Community. Djarrak FC major sponsors Rirratjingu Aboriginal Corporation are key supporters of the Yirrkala Yarrapay Music and Dance Festival that will bring a mixture of local and national acts to the Roy Marika Stage from afternoon till late.

The brown and gold army has had a heavy week of training in anticipation of facing the football smarts that Gopu FC have displayed in Gove AFL action in Season 2016 to date. Rirratjingu Aboriginal Corporation are hosting Territory Day Celebrations tonight through support of Chief Minister Adam Giles and the Northern Territory Government, however, Djarrak FC Coach Hayden Rickard expects the real fireworks to start on July 2 at 4pm. "This is going to be a huge game for us, we have been building slowly and we face a real litmus test on Saturday. It's no secret a few of our club favourites have changed colours and they will look to do well against us. We have had some new personnel ourselves but I expect a real open affair with both teams displaying a real tenacity with run and spread being the order of the day. We will be as desperate as possible. Our goal kicking has let us down to date so we can't afford to go quiet if we are in a shootout. It's all hands on deck for us, get our hands dirty and get the job done".

A number of players involved in ceremony this week will play despite being short of a run on the training paddock. Youngster Tyrone Dhamarrandji will compete a fitness test prior to the game and Djayminy Marika is unlikely to play following soreness from last week.
